What is Pro.E?
Cero Elements/Pro, a product formerly known as Pro/ENGINEER is a parametric, integrated 3D CAD/CAM/CAE solution created by Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC). It was the first to market[2] with parametric, feature-based, associative solid modeling software.
Created by Dr. Samuel P. Geisberg in the mid-1980s, Pro/ENGINEER was the industry’s first successful rule-based constraint (sometimes called “parametric “variational”) 3D CADmodeling system.
These required capabilities include Solid Modeling, Surfacing, Rendering, Data Interoperability, Routed Systems Design, Simulation, Tolerance Analysis, and NC and Tooling Design.
The parametric modeling approach uses parameters, dimensions, features, and relationships to capture intended product behavior and create a recipe which enables design automation and the optimization of design and product development processes

Solid modelling (part design):
Solid modeling (or modeling) is a consistent set of principles for mathematical and computer modeling of three-dimensional solids. Solid modeling is distinguished from related areas of geometric modeling and computer graphics by its emphasis on physical fidelity.
Surface modelling (surface design):
It is a skin of 3D modeling Element
Surfaces are created using points &curves
The shape of the surface is controlled by the
control point It is used to create turbine blades,
car bodies, boat hulls.

Sheet metal designing:
Sheet metal is simply metal formed into thin and flat pieces.
It Thicknesses can vary significantly; extremely thin thicknesses are considered foil or leaf, and pieces thicker than 6 mm (0.25 in) are considered plate.
